Remodelista: Finding Beauty in Everyday Objects

Johnne Eschleman likes to tear up old dictionaries and books and mix them with wheat paste to create beautiful new works of art. So when Remodelista's editors moved into a new shared office space, they summoned Eschleman (who's also an artist-in-residence at NY's Ace Hotel) to give the entryway a much needed eco-friendly makeover. "I want to create art that people are engaged with all the time, and in the process, leave as small a footprint as possible," says Eschleman.
